Kryophos LED Shelf Lighting System (KRY6/W)
Retail display lighting and under cabinet shelf lighting have always presented a challenge for the lighting designer. For enhanced product display as much light as possible is required, generating as little heat as possible and the location of the fittings should be unobtrusive but easily accessible during assembly and maintenance stages. Realising the problems, Lighting Projects have designed the Kryophos ‘Cool-light’ Shelf LED Lighting System. Utilising the latest ultra-high output 1 watt LED’s from Lumileds, the Kryophos Shelf Lighting & Display Cabinet illumination system provides in excess of 200 lux of even illumination measured at 500mm.
The Kryophos modules emit no projected heat or Ultra Violet — and offering over 50,000 hours of continuous operation — the product is one of truly ‘fit and forget’. With a low 20mm profile and bright, ultra-white LED’s emitting no projected heat, the Kryophos system is perfect in any display situation and especially ideal for refrigerated displays, bar and freezer cabinets as no extra cooling capacity is required to compensate for heat generated by the light fittings. Installation is simple, just fit the first PSU and up to ten modular units can be linked together via our unique plug and socket connection system. Continuous lines of light can be created ensuring that the goods displayed are perfectly illuminated and will not be damaged by heat or emissions.
Offered in 6, 3 and 2 LED configurations, the Chamaeleon Kryophos modules introduce an new, technologically enhanced concept in linear illumination. Being modular, the system is totally flexible, and whilst purpose designed for display lighting, can also be used for numerous applications — retail shelf systems, retail display cabinets, bar and refrigerated displays, museum and art gallery projects, under shelf lighting, worktop lighting — the list is endless! With simple plug and play installation, low voltage operation and extremely low energy consumption (Maximum power consumption @ 100% 8.5Watts); plus no heat and a long LED life of 50,000 hours, Kryophos Linear Modules offer obvious cost saving benefits compared with conventional linear display lighting.
